French toast with a crunch!

Alameda Cafe is located on Freemont. This is a good little breakfast nook. Literally a nook, it's pretty quaint inside. I think I remember the coffee here being pretty good. We sat outside in the sunlight next to the colorful flower boxes. My mom ordered the crunchy french toast, (I stole a bite) that's not actually what it's called I just can't remember. I'm sure they'd know what you were talking about if you tried to order it. It's yummy. Their food is well made just a wee bit on the pricey side, for my taste anyway.Posted by Picasa

Huckleberry pancakes

This is Genies. A new find for me. It is located at the corner of 11th and SE Division. Stumptown coffee, need I say more! But let me tell you about their huckleberry pancakes, actually you need to just try them for yourself. As my adopted dad says "they're forehead slappers!" This cafe has good atmosphere and nice servers. Their food is just good. Oh and fresh apple juice too. Posted by Picasa Genies is at

Breakfast and coffee

So this is my first Blog. I personally love to find good breakfast places... you know the kind that are inconspicuous and may be a hole in the wall but they have great food. Although the most important factor is whether or not they have good coffee! So this blog is going to be your tip sheet to good breakfast in Portland.
